The Bayou bistreaux Story

Bringing the heart of Louisiana to omaha streets

My love for cooking started when I was a young boy helping my mom prepare family dinners in the kitchen. After joining the Air Force, I spent much of my 23-year military career in Louisiana and Mississippi, where I fell in love with Cajun cooking and the culture behind it. To me, Cajun food is more than bold seasoning and rich flavor. It is history, family, pride, and the kind of food that brings people together.

After retiring from the military and later spending 13 years as a maintenance engineer, I knew I wanted to turn my passion into something more. Bayou Bistreaux was born from years of perfecting authentic Cajun recipes, homemade seasonings, fresh ingredients, and the belief that great food should be made from the heart.

Now, I am bringing the spirit of Louisiana to the streets of Omaha with one goal in mind.

making people smile with every bite.
